Te Mata Figs – Food Safety

Food Safety and Quality are at the Heart of Te Mata Figs

Te Mata Figs operates a New Zealand Ministry of Primary Industries (MPI) approved Food Safety Programme in relation to its products.

External audits are undertaken annually by MPI accredited auditors. Our certification meets the requirements according to the principles of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP).

Te Mata Figs grows figs under a certified grower programme under New Zealand GAP (New Zealand Good Agricultural Practice) and audited by AsureQuality Ltd.

In addition our figs are grown under an organic management system which is certified and audited by BioGro NZ.  We are fully certified organic for the domestic programme.
